Abby
Owner: Carlo

Abby is Rottie mix with a big heart. The self-appointed Superhero of The Run, she will gladly intervene if other dogs have a misunderstanding. She loves wrestling and teasing her many friends with a stick or ball to induce a chase. Abby is looking forward to the first snow and can’t wait to lounge in the spring mud. Especially right after a bath.

Barkley
Owner: Julia

Barkley is a Canine Good Citizen and pug extraordinaire. Often referred to as "the man" by humans and dogs alike, Barkley is the unofficial playtime referee and good behavior enforcement k-9 of Sir William's Dog Run.

Baxter
Owners: Steven, Trisha & Stella

Baxter, an affenpinscher from Chicago via Affen Rescue, is Dodger's best buddy and very strange looking in a cute sort of way.

Ben
Owner: Dawn

A nearly five year-old yellow Lab, Ben is the self-appointed mayor of the dog run. He barks to maintain order, unfazed when no one pays attention. With his best buddy, Bono, and the occasional Parks Dept. Gator to chase, Ben thinks life is just fine.

Bird
Owner: Jennifer

Bird is a cattle dog/terrier mix who loves her siblings (Enzo and Rosie), the dog run and
agility.

Bodhi
Owners: Aleksi and Alicia

Bodhi is a one-year-old Lab/Pit mix who quickly befriends anyone that gives him attention. Amazingly mellow at home, it's dizzying to watch him run around the park--especially when he sees a squirrel. Bodhi is our only child, and he is our pride and joy!

Cabo
Owner: Brooksie

Cabo is a Portuguese Water Dog who is known for her love. She is quite the comedian and always keeps me laughing. Favorite activites: Swim, chase the ball, swim, chase the ball, and chase the ball some more. I don't think there is a greater love than that between pet and owner.

Cajun
Owner: Julia

To know Cajun is to love him. He is living proof that good things come in tiny, feisty, black puggie packages. A local celebrity, Cajun can often be found in the arms of a human admirer or prancing after his big brother, Barkley. Cajun sends special hugs to his biped b.f.f., Stella.

Chess
Owners: Ken & Scott

Chess was born in Missouri in 2004 and moved to the Upper West Side before being rescued and settling in here in Hudson Heights. Don't let her slight 6lb figure fool you – she holds her own in the dog run and will use her "cobra" moves to put anyone who bothers her in their place. Her sisters are Stella and Macy.

Chloe
Owner: Sara

Chloe is a 7 year old chow-chow mix who has been living near Fort Tryon park for less than a year. You can meet Chloe in the mornings or late afternoons when her mom is in town (they travel a lot!). She enjoys watching squirrels, sniffing the entire park, and sitting quietly near a person. She is a very sweet girl. Her mom rescued her in 2006 from 'Bobbi and the Strays.'

Cinnamon
Owner: Maria

Cinnamon is a happy mutt that came from the NYCACC three years ago. At 4 years old she is very much a people dog but is also easing into renewing friendships at the dog run. She is also a loud mouth ball thief and a mutt with pure breed standards ;-).

Coconut is a beautiful White Westie pup almost a year old. She loves the dog run, and she helps make a happy home for Mom Michelle and daughter Angelica.

Colby
Owner: Craig

Colby was adopted from the North Shore Animal League at 11 weeks old and is now nearly 7.

Goose
Owner: Jennifer

Even though Goose is just a pup, she already calls the dog run home! She loves her new friends and can't wait to meet more!

Grace
Owner: Jeremy

Beware the doleful eye—its a trick! A shameless Frisbee® tease, she will offer you her toy and pull it just out of reach. When you do get hold of it—and you throw it poorly—you are no longer worthy. Sharpen your skillz! Her favorites are: Jack Daniels, Frisbee®, tacos and whatever may be in the trashcan.

Gracie
Owners: Dewey and Todd

Diva, pug, and international film star. Gracie can usually be seen lounging atop one of the tables at the run. Check out her latest film here.

Guga

Guga is named after Gustavo Kuerten, whose fans warmly espouse him with this nickname, and takes after his gregarious namesake. He is a little over a year old, and loves to joust around with his buddy brother, a pug named Paddy, and run after his FC Barcelona soccer ball thrown by his mummy May.

Originally from rural Virginia, Hans moved to the Big Apple to pursue his dreams of being a star of the stage and screen when he was a mere 10 weeks old. He's very excited to be joining this eclectic company of dogs. He was last seen playing the title role in the pre-Broadway workshop of "Lassie, the Musical." His dream role is to play Bruiser, the Chihuahua in the Broadway hit "Legally Blonde." Thanks to Gracie for being such a great role model and inspiration. Love to my daddies.

Myles
Owner: Christine

At 6 years of age Myles is becoming more mature by the day, but plotting sneak attacks from under the pic-nic table is still his favorite game!

Nala
Owner: Raquel

Nala is a 5 year old, blonde Chow Chow who loves taking long walks. When at the Dog Run, Nala is usually off by herself exploring and not doing much running. You can occasionally see her playing a game of chase with the other dogs...but she's the one who likes to be chased!

Nellie
Owner: Leslie & Jason

Nellie is an energetic Coton de Tulear puppy who can often be seen in a playful boxing match with one of her friends at the dog run. If you catch her when she first arrives at the run, she's the fluffy white one...if you see her after she's been there a while, she's the
grinning dingy brown one. Either way, she's always eager to meet new friends, so watch out! She may just lick your face.

Paddy
Owner: May

Paddy the pug is not Irish, although he may pretend to be one on St. Patrick's Day to get an extra treat. He is two and a half years old, and is happy to lounge around with his brother, a Boston terrier named Guga, and beg for treats from his mummy May.

Razz
Owner: Lynn

Razz is just an all-around fun little guy! Visit Razz's Dogster Page. Razz is also on YouTube.

Robbie

Rosie
Owner: Jennifer

Rosie is a 10 year old minpin who thinks the dog run is a buffet! She is Enzo's sibling, and they both remember the days before the dog run fence!

Stella was born in North Carolina in 2001 and moved to the Big Apple shortly after being rescued. She is always alert and protective in the dog run, and her colors make her the perfect referee when the big dogs start to act up. She will come across as shy, but once she gets to know you she will always greet you. Her sisters are Chess and Macy.

Teo
Owner: Sally

At 10 years old, Teo is one of the oldest continuous residents of the dogpark; we started coming back in 1998, when there were just three other dogs-- Angel, Puck, and Demi. Teo is especially known for his Flying Nun ears and people-oriented personality.

He summers in the Colorado Rockies, where in August he led a group of hikers to safety a distance of 11 miles over two 12,000 foot passes. The rest of the year he can be frequently be seen swimming the icy waters of the Hudson and leading expeditions on the trails of the Palisades. At the run he prefers to keep a low profile (he is a Bassett, after all!), and shamelessly concentrates on amorous pursuits and on charming the humans into petting him, at which he is very successful!
